The Good Life Show was about a week ago, but I still need to give you the load down on the event.
A three-day convention that highlights healthy eating and plant-based meals. Why the heck would I ever want to attend – let alone write about – a show like this!?
Well, as much as I love a meat fest. I can acknowledge that adding colourful and nutrient-dense plants to my diet will not only help my organs work better but also give me glowing skin and a long life.

One of the highlights of my visit was a chat with the South African National Halaal Authority (SANHA). How do our favourite local products get Halaal certified? Does health and Halaal have a link?
You find the full interview right here:
I had the pleasure of speaking with Regional Manager Marzuq Alexander.
And while there was no meat in sight – the food was DIVINE! Bright colours, flavours that popped and aromas that excited – we tried so many samples!
My good friend and colleague, Carissa Cupido even did a little taste test of all the vegan goodies I brought. Watch it down below:
Overall, the show was informative and so interesting. Getting to speak to many passionate and talented people was the biggest gift.
From hot sauces all the way from Namibia, thanks to Namib Chilli, to refreshing rooibos tea flavours brought to you by Sunbird Rooibos. Gotta throw a shoutout to Good News for their amazing (and very spicy) sauces – got two jars of it anyways!

I can not get this gluten-free bread out of my head from Miracle Meel. Even though it wasn’t made with traditional wheat flour, the bread was moist and fluffy, with a distinct nutty flavour. I honestly regret not buying a bag!

This was my second time attending the convention. If you have a love for good food, learning more about local, sustainable and ethical products – The Good Life Show is a must for your social calendar🌱.
A huge thank you to Teena and Meagan from Wired Communications ❤️
