How have you been lately? There have been so many 21st birthdays happening around me. My sister during this week, my husband’s second counsins during the last, and my brother-in-law’s next month 🎉🎉🎉 So many young ones entering the big bag world of adulthood! Well, whether you’re a senior or freshman in the school of life: I wish you all a happy, healthy, and safe 2024. And may you be granted many more (In Shaa Allah)🙏.
Today’s quote of the week…
Look for little pleasures and the small, beautiful things in life.
Treasure life’s happy moments.
Do not let them escape your notice.
They are bright, golden threads in the cloth of life.
– From “The Friendship Book of Francis Gay”
Life often forces us to go through the motions of work, chores, and social duties. It’s always ‘must’, instead of ‘want’.
Daily stress makes things hazy and dull. So it is important that we take time for introspection. Checking up on our own emotional and mental processes – like how students take exams or companies get audited🔎.

It’s all about ensuring that the tools we use to make important decisions and actions are all in tip-top shape 👌.
So how do we find the ‘little pleasures’ in life?
Begin and end your day with gratitude. Even if things are unbearable, being grateful for the ‘small, beautiful things in life’ is a start to changing your outlook.
Name five things you are grateful for. You can write these down on a sticky, record it on your phone, or say it aloud in the mirror. Remember – small, beautiful things, happy moments – things like the taste of your morning coffee, a hot shower🧼, or a shirt that fits just right.

Happy moments✨️, like catching the bus on time, making a coworker laugh, or getting to see your child run off to school or cuddling with your fur-friend🐶!
☝️It’s not about how grand or expensive the moment is, but how, in its absence, life would be so boring and unpleasant. ‘Do not let them escape your notice’.

at first when i read this, i was confident that i would be able to answer about things that make me happy but when i say down to write, i realized there are so many things, i take for granted but here i am trying to answer the question well:
> i got to click a nice picture of the clouds and blue sky
> i posted my weekly recap yesterday
> my long distance best friend send me voice notes after getting a break from his long hours in the internship
> working on an excel sheet for the first time

What beautiful insight! Thank you for your comment. Life truly is what we make of it. When we focus solely on the bad, we can easily become overwhelmed. On the flip side, when we highlight the happy, small things, we can easily become overjoyed! I am so glad you enjoyed the post. Please continue to support my blog 💖
