Happy Wednesday, readers! How has the first days of July been treating you? Here in Cape Town, we have received quite the welcome via chilly winds and rainstorms ⛈️. I hope you are all healthy, happy, and doing your best to appreciate the simple things in life.
Speaking of simple…
The only difference between an extraordinary life and an ordinary one is the extraordinary pleasures you find in ordinary things.

This Quote of the Week from ‘A Simpler Life‘ speaks about appreciating the understated🦋. And making everything a reason to be grateful and to celebrate.
I’ve been doing a lot of yoga recently. The biggest lesson I have learned so far is that, as you move through the poses, be aware of your breath🧘♀️. This simple mechanic stretches your muscles, eases your pains, and calms the mind. Breathing is sooo ordinary, yet plays an extraordinary role in our daily functioning.
Another lesson is being grateful for the body you have. Allowing you to swith from sequence to sequence, holds you up in poses, and keeps your vital organs safe🤸♀️. While a saggy bag of flesh to the eye – our bodies are an extraordinary powerhouse!

And sometimes – most times – we just forget that we are doing 🌻simply extraordinary🌻 things every day.
Having the ability to turn bitter spices into a delicious pot of food! Or having a sharp eye for photography or a talented ear to create music. God took His time in making us all extraordinary🙏, He doesn’t make mistakes, each one of us unique and worthy – a message I often need to remind myself.
Love to you all 💖

July: My Birthday Month and a Time for New Goals
July is a special month for me as it marks my birthday. Even though it’s winter here in South Africa, I’ve decided to make it a season of growth and new beginnings by setting new goals and taking daily steps to achieve them.
Here’s to a fantastic July filled with personal achievements and warm, joyful moments despite the winter chill.
