Feeling stressed, or stagnant? Or life is just life-ing. I’ve been there. My solution: move your arms and legs to these incredibly fun and sadness-busting home workout videos. Plus, it’s absolutely FREE!
Exercise is an excellent way to work off excess stress and adrenaline. Plus it, it keeps your heart beating and your muscles strong.
I am an avid follower of the belief that you don’t need to have a gym membership to become fit, or strong or maintain a healthy body. Especially if you’re an average Joe – like me – who simply wants to live as independently, for as long as possible. And that’s why I love using platforms like YouTube to access thousands of free workout videos, fitness inspiration and guidance.
And as always: learn proper form, take advice from credible professionals and never exert your body without guidance.
Let’s get itttttt ๐ช๐ช๐ช๐ช
Get Fit with Rick (Zumba, walking, aerobics)
Getting over 5,000 steps a day has never been easier, or more fun, with Rick guiding you along. Walking to the beat, you’ll forget the time and enjoy the burn in your legs and booty!
Nourish Move Love (strength training, Pilates, cardio)
I absolutely cannot stop recommending NML for the girlies! These workouts will help you reach those strength goals, and they have so many that are tailored for different phases of life!
Leana Deeb (health + fitness inspiration, modesty lifestyle)
I’ve been a huge fan of Leana for many years. She’s incredibly down to earth, does everything with Allah in mind. As an athlete she is very knowledgeable and shares a lot about how to prepare healthy meals, gym workouts and being productive.
Growwithjo (step to the beat, aerobics)
Don’t let that smile fool you, some of these workouts can be incredibly challenging. Whenever I am feeling low, Jo’s good vibes helps me push through, while having the most fun!
Madelaine Rascan (health + fitness inspiration, strength, wellness advice)
Her no nonsense approach to health and fitness is very motivating, especially when things become overwhelming. Madelaine is also hilarious and a little unhinged!
Charlie Follows (yoga strength, flexibility, stretch)
Yoga is not only awesome for calming the mind, but can be a great way to build strength and hit your cardio goals. When you’re not in the mood for lifting weights or dancing, taking time to quietly follow along with Charlie will leave you feeling so accomplished and proud.
And that’s all for now ๐
Thank you for reading this short rec list. Let’s all work to live long, healthy and prosperous lives. God-Willing, In Shaa Allah.
