Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake are back for the newest chapter in the Trolls franchise. Trolls Band Together, is the third movie of the animated musical story, and sees the fun-loving Trolls whisked off into a new zany adventure 🌈🌈🌈

Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have set a release for November 2023. Trolls Band Together is expected to be just as ~colourful and energetic~ as its two previous films: Trolls and Trolls World Tour.

Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake return as the main protagonists, Queen Poppy and Branch, respectively, who are also now officially a couple🩷!

This is the official plot line of Trolls Band Together:

“After two films of true friendship and relentless flirting, Poppy (Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake) are now officially, finally, a couple. As they grow closer, Poppy discovers that Branch has a secret past. He was once part of her favorite boyband phenomenon, BroZone, with his four brothers: Floyd (Troye Sivan), John Dory (Eric André), Spruce (Daveed Diggs) and Clay (Kid Cudi). BroZone disbanded when Branch was still a baby, as did the family, and Branch hasn’t seen his brothers since. But when Branch’s bro Floyd is kidnapped for his musical talents by a pair of nefarious pop-star villains — Velvet (Amy Schumer) and Veneer (Andrew Rannells) — Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop-culture obscurity.”

Looking at the trailer we can see that the movie will play heavily into 90s boyband nostalgia, while honouring family love. In early October, we got a special bts featurette of Trolls Band Together, showing off the *star-studded* cast for the movie. You can see it right here:

The original Trolls movie was first released in 2016, and earned some $350 million at the global box office.

A few fresh faces (read: voices) will be joining the ⭐Trolls ‘Band’ ⭐ including Camila Cabello, RuPaul, Zosia Mamet, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Icona Pop duo Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, Zooey Deschanel, Anderson .Paak, Ron Funches, Kunal Nayyar and Kenan Thompson.
